Print Agent
A tiny desktop app that connects your thermal ESC/POS printer to Shopifire — orders print automatically the moment a diner checks out, no browser dialog needed. macOS support is coming later.

Start the Print Agent on the computer wired to your printer and this page will light up green.
How it works
A small Windows app that sits in your system tray next to the printer computer.
Network printer (TCP/IP port 9100) or USB — any ESC/POS thermal printer works.
The moment a diner checks out, the receipt prints silently at your counter.
Why an agent?
No print dialog, no clicks — receipts just appear while you keep working.
Browser to local agent to printer — print jobs never leave your network.
Epson, Star, Xprinter, Rongta and other 58/80 mm thermal printers.
No subscription, no cloud print service, no per-page fees.
Browsers cannot talk to thermal printers directly — window.print() only knows paper dialogs, not ESC/POS commands like auto-cut. The Print Agent is the bridge: your dashboard sends the receipt to a local WebSocket on this computer, and the agent writes raw ESC/POS to the printer.
Turn it on in 10 seconds
- Install the agent above and leave it running in the tray.
- In the dashboard open Orders → Receipt settings.
- Confirm the status shows Connected, run a Test Print, then enable Auto-print new orders.
